Back to school and knitting gets neglected! September 7, 2008

September is here and with it the start of a new school term. Ive been back a week and have already been overwhelmed with work, I did four ten-hour days last week and have hardly had time to go food shopping, let alone knitting! I’m trying to get my classroom ready and organised, its strange being in a new school and not knowing peoples names but I think I;m going to like it there. My Nursery children start next week in phases and I have fourty seven parent consultations to get through…. no knitting next week either me thinks!

So I’m cheating a bit here and posting a photo of the blue cardi in Patons 100% cotton DK that I’m knitting for my boyfreind’s mum. I haven’t actually touched this for a couple of weeks but this is the start I made on it at the end of the holidays. I made this cardigan for myself last year in a mink colour, I can’t say I’m enjoying knittting the same pattern over again as the lace was never ending. I need to crack on with it really as my stash has now expanded to three large boxes and needs knitting up. Personally I blame Ravelry and their queue tool… I keep discovering amazing patterns and ordering wool for them!
