For my swap partner, here is my questionnaire from the new UK Swap (http://ukswap.blogspot.com/)

Part One: Crafting
Do you knit, crochet, or both? – Just knitting
What do you like to make? – bags, tops, accessories, toys
Do you have a favourite project? – I love knitted tops, but also making felted bags
Do you have a favourite type of fiber or brand of yarn? – any natural fibre, preferably very soft and not too fuzzy. I love natural wool and silk/wool blends, I don’t knit with anything lighter than 4-ply… I like my DK the best!
Do you have a least favourite type of yarn? – I don’t like novelty yarn, mohair or chenille or anything laceweight!
Do you do any other crafts? – I’m just getting into needle felting.
Do you knit in public? If so where do you like knitting and what is your “portable” project? – I sometimes get to the local stitch and bitch that meet in a cafe. I take whatever I’m working on at the time, size is not usually an issue!
What do you carry your “portable” knitting in? – I have a selection of project bags of varying sizes!
Are there any knitting gifts (book, toy, yarn, item, tool) that you have been lusting over? –  I’m keen on learning needle felting, so anything to do with that really (felting needles, books etc – I have a sack of roving but I would like some of that natural curly roving to make hair for dolls)

Part Two: Your Favourites
If you were a specific kind of yarn, which brand and kind of yarn would you be (and why)? I would probably be a green or purple Debbie Bliss wool, in an alpaca or cashmere blend, double knitting.
What is your favourite colour? greens and purples, often pink!
What is your least favourite colour? Oranges and reds
What scents/smells do you like? What don’t you like? I like Lavender and Violet, I don’t like sickly vanilla or chocolate smells.
How do you like to pamper yourself? (bubble bath, hand creams, massage, manicure) I like Hand creams, nail varnish etc. I can’t use bubble bath products as I have very sensitive skin. I love scented candles and essential oils.
What goodies to you like to eat? (chocolate, biscuits, sweets, crisps etc)  – I like marshmallow and some milk chocolate – I have to be very careful though as I have Coeliac disease (gluten intolerance) and there can be gluten in lots of sweets. I also only eat vegetarian sweets and snacks.
Do you prefer tea or coffee while you knit? Any particular kind?  – I only drink tea, I can’t drink spiced tea, chai tea or some green teas as the make me ill (again, some tea can contain gluten!)
Do you listen to/watch anything while you knit? (TVshow-Along, movies, music, podcasts, audiobooks) – I sometimes watch tv, but I rarely get the Tv control!

Part Three: About you, Living & Past-times
Where do you live in the UK? (General idea not address) I live in the West Midlands these days.
Have you always lived here, or did you grow up somewhere else?  – I was born and raised in Surrey.
What is your favourite place in the UK? – Cornwall
If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would you go?  – Iceland
What other hobbies do you have? – I like reading, ocassionally sewing, gluten-free baking, mostly knitting takes up all my hobby time!

Part Four: The Theme
As part of this swap we are asking you to post (or link to) a picture or photograph you like. Your swap pal will use the photo as a basis for a themed item or parcel.
It could be of a specific item, e.g. Jellybeans, an Alpaca, a rainbow or a scene e.g. sunset, beach, woodland or anything else you can think of! Please add a few words to explain why you have chosen the photo if you think this is appropriate.
It could be a photo you have taken or a picture you have found on the internet. Please note – if the picture is not yours please ensure you seek permission from the owner before posting it on your blog. Alternatively, you can link to the original picture.

I like the image ‘Field of Violet Flowes’ (the 8th picture if you scroll downand pixtured at the top of this post) as it is all the colours I love, also I love the picture… you could just climb inside the picture and lay down in the field!

Final Part:
Any allergies/preferences (fiber-wise or treat-wise)? – I have Coeliac disease and I’m also a pescetarian, so obviously anything containing meat products or gluten is a no no! … probably easier to steer clear of food products altogther! I do like scented candles and essentail oils so that could be better!
Anything we missed that you’d like your partner to know? – Only that I don’t need any more knitting needles or stitch markers, and I really don’t do laceweight yarn!
